Attorney for lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy mistrial pushes back on criticism
A Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case earlier this month after one juror, Michael Desronvil, held out for a conviction while the other eleven were prepared to find Clancy not criminally responsible. Desronvil's attorney, Edward Paltzik, says his client had "zero doubt" and a "mountain of evidence" supporting his position, disputing other jurors' claims that he failed to explain his reasoning during deliberations. Clancy's defense team has since asked the judge to dismiss the case, citing double jeopardy.
