A Delta Air Lines flight from Barcelona to Boston was diverted to Porto, Portugal on September 27th after smoke was detected in the cabin. The Airbus A330-300 was carrying 283 passengers and 13 crew members when the diversion occurred. Portugal's civil protection service said 14 passengers required medical attention, with four hospitalized for smoke inhalation described as lightly affected. Delta attributed the incident to a reported mechanical issue and said the flight landed safely.
