Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, 30, was fatally shot Monday during a traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Warren County. Phillips, a three-year KSP veteran and father of three, had stopped a Honda Civic when the driver opened fire and fled. A statewide manhunt and Blue Alert led to the arrest of suspect Emonnie Branch, 51, who was taken into custody by Louisville Metro Police about three hours later and faces a first-degree murder charge.
